Installation and first launching of Vade Retro Desktop

Installation
Click on the install file you have downloaded or you have found on the CD-Rom. Then follow the instructions which appear at the screen.
Pay attention to close all windows and programs and more particularly Outlook, Outlook Express or Windows Mail before installing Vade Retro.

Launching
After Vade Retro is installed, run your email software. Vade Retro starts up automatically and become integrated to your software's features in the form of a toolbar.

Vade Retro toolbar's main features



Vade Retro dialog box:
Vade Retro tab makes you access to processing features, updates state and filtering rules.

Spam / Not Spam:
By using these two buttons you can easily add sender addresses to green and red lists depending on whether you want to accept or block systematically their emails. An " editing " mode enables you to add or delete email addresses from your green and red lists. You also can import in your lists the addresses from a specific file, from your contacts base or form a text file.

Scan:
This feature enables you to scan the message or the folder of your choice. This is very useful to scan all the emails you have received before you installed Vade Retro and to clean up your mailbox automatically.

Statistics:
Notice the efficience of the Vade Retro protection within several days. A board traces the historic of processing events and displays a personalized graphic. This will indicate instantly the quality of your emails.

Updates status
Your toolbar can update the filtering engine to ensure an optimal protection. If you want to benefit from this service, you must take out updates subscription. By clicking on this button you directly access the "Vade Retro filter" menu in the main dialog.

Help
At any time you can display the Vade Retro online guide. To do this just click on the help button on the toolbar: an assistance menu will automatiquement appear.
